Experience the NHL Metaverse in Roblox with NHL Blast

In line with its goal of reaching out to a younger audience, NHL launches NHL Blast on Roblox.

The NHL is launching the NHL Blast on Roblox, an online metaverse where players can play hockey-inspired games and wear team jerseys.

The experience will be available on mobile, PC, and Xbox and will come with a plethora of features, including:

- 5v5 hockey experience set in obstacle-filled environments with skating and shooting mechanics that copy actual NHL players.

- Players can wear NHL jerseys with customizable numbers and names

- The Upper Deck Selfie Station, where users can take pictures of their avatars in poses featured in NHL trading cards.

NHL Blast was developed by Swedish studio The Gang, a developer that focuses on creating experiences for the metaverse.

"It will allow hockey fans and the Roblox community to hang out and play in a new online space that features many elements of NHL fandom," said David Lehanski, NHL executive vice president of business development and innovation, in an interview with ESPN.
